Membership Cancellations and Product Refunds
Cancelling Your Membership or Subscription
If you feel unable to continue supporting our cause, you can cancel your recurring payments at any time.
If you subscribed to the Direct Democracy Movement through PayPal, please follow these steps:
- Visit the PayPal website.
- Log in to your account.
- Click on the Settings icon (gear symbol) in the top-right corner of the page.
- In the horizontal menu, select Payments.
- Click on Manage Pre-approved Payments or similar.
- Find "Direct Democracy Movement" or "5 Star Association" in the list of merchants.
- Select the subscription and click Cancel.
- Confirm the cancellation when prompted.
Refunds for Products or Donations
Refunds for digital or physical products may be requested by contacting us at:

Refunds for donations will only be issued in exceptional circumstances and at our discretion.
Cancelling a Direct Debit
If you wish to cancel a Direct Debit, the process is straightforward. However, for your peace of mind, we recommend following these steps to ensure the cancellation is fully effective:
Steps to Cancel Your Direct Debit
1. Contact Your Bank
- Via Internet Banking: Log into your online banking account, navigate to the Direct Debit section, locate the Direct Debit to the Direct Democracy Movement, and select Cancel.
- By Phone: Call your bank’s customer service team. You can typically find the contact number on the back of your debit card. Ask them to cancel the specific Direct Debit.
2. Confirm in Writing (Recommended)
While it’s not mandatory to confirm your cancellation in writing, it’s a good practice to ensure there’s no ambiguity. You can use the template below to notify your bank formally.

- Membership Fees: Please note that membership fees already paid cannot be refunded. To avoid future payments, ensure your Direct Debit is cancelled before the next scheduled payment date.
